Syntiant Files for IPO

Syntiant has filed for an initial public offering, according to a regulatory submission filed on Monday.

The company intends to list its shares on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "SYTN," it said.

The company makes semiconductors and software for artificial intelligence.

The company is backed by Microsoft (MSFT), which has invested $3 million in the company, and Intel (INTC), which has invested $2.5 million, the regulatory filing said.
