Market Chatter: Blackstone Among Potential Buyers for Stake in Vietnam's MoMo

MT Newswires Live07-06

Blackstone (BX) is among the potential buyers for a stake in Vietnamese fintech firm MoMo, Reuters reported Friday, citing sources with direct knowledge of the matter.

MoMo is moving ahead with a partial sale, with binding bids due in September, the report said, with other bidders including CVC Capital Partners and MUFG (MUFG).

The size of the stake has not been fixed, but one source told Reuters it could be as much as 50%.

Blackstone, CVC, and MoMo did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment. Efforts to reach MUFG were unsuccessful.
