Kosmos Energy (KOS) said Monday its J76 well at Ghana's Jubilee field began production in mid-June, about two weeks behind schedule, and is producing about 20,000 barrels of oil per day.
The company said Jubilee production averaged about 72,000 barrels per day in Q2, with an exit rate above 85,000 barrels per day.
The J77 well has been completed and is expected to begin production shortly, lifting Jubilee output to about 90,000 barrels per day, the company said.
A final producer well is expected online by the end of July, followed by a water injector well around the end of Q3, it added.
Meanwhile, Kosmos said the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim LNG project in Mauritania and Senegal shipped nine LNG cargoes in Q2, at the high-end of guidance.
It also expects to complete the farm-down of its Tiberius project in the Gulf of America in Q3, it added.
The company said it completed the sale of its Ceiba and Okume assets in Equatorial Guinea on June 16, reducing Q2 production by about 1,000 barrels per day, and full-year guidance will be updated with Q2 results in August.
Kosmos said its net debt fell to about $2.56 billion at the end of Q2, down more than $400 million from year-end 2025.
It remains on track to reduce net debt by about 20% this year and ended the quarter with more than $500 million in liquidity, the company said.
