Tvardi Therapeutics (TVRD) said Tuesday its phase 1 study confirmed rapid prodrug conversion of TTI-109 to TTI-101, producing nearly identical plasma levels at molar-equivalent doses, and validating its prodrug design.
Other key findings include sustained target-level exposure, evidence of target engagement, and improved tolerability against TTI-101, the company said.
Tvardi said it plans to advance TTI-109 across dermatologic and gastrointestinal diseases, subject to additional funding.
Shares were up almost 30% in morning trading.
