J&T Global Express's Solid 2Q Operating Data Could Prop up Results, Shares

Dow Jones07-08

0558 GMT - J&T Global Express's solid 2Q operating data could help to buoy its 1H results and, by extension, its shares, say Citi analysts in a note. The Hong Kong-listed logistics operator reported a 24% rise in total parcel volume, with a 63% gain in Southeast Asia and an 11% increase in China, the analysts say. The growth in its Southeast Asia business was slightly above Citi's expectations, largely boosted by investments from key investors in the region and J&T's market-share expansion. China's higher parcel volume also seems resilient, given the company's full-year guidance of 10% growth and muted sector growth, they add. Citi opens a 90-day upside view on J&T's shares and maintains its buy rating and 15.00 Hong Kong dollar target price. Shares rise 0.7% to HK$9.54. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
