Toyota Tsusho's Vietnam Aircraft Maintenance Joint Venture Cleared by European Commission

MT Newswires Live07-08

Toyota (TM) Tsusho's aircraft maintenance joint venture in Vietnam with the Sun Group, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering, and Japan Airlines has been approved by the European Commission, the regulator said Tuesday.

The joint venture, HAECO Vietnam, aims to provide heavy maintenance services for commercial aircraft in Vietnam, according to the commission.

The regulator said the deal would not raise competition concerns, considering its limited impact on the European Economic Area.

Toyota Motor shares were down more than 1% in premarket activity Wednesday.
