SOBRsafe will wind down its alcohol-monitoring business and related software services on July 31 as part of its restructuring.
The moves are intended to preserve cash to support completion of its proposed business combination with Clean World Ventures, SOBRsafe said Friday.
The company said will end manufacturing of its SOBRcheck and SOBRsure devices, terminate software support needed for its SOBRsafe services, and end its corporate office lease by the end of July.
SOBRsafe estimates about $50,000 in one-time costs, mainly severance, contract terminations and office decommissioning.
In June, SOBRsafe reduced its workforce by three employees. The actions are expected to cut annual operating costs by about $1.2 million.
