MT Newswires Live05:01

Apple (AAPL) is suing OpenAI for trade secret theft, accusing OpenAI and the company's hardware chief Tang Tan of a coordinated campaign to steal information about products, Bloomberg and Reuters reported Friday.

Reuters reported that Apple's complaint accuses OpenAI of a coordinated effort to steal information such as product designs, manufacturing processes and supply chain strategies.

Bloomberg reported that Apple said in the lawsuit that OpenAI asked Apple employees to share information related to upcoming products as part of a project by OpenAI to develop its own devices.

Apple and OpenAI didn't immediately respond to requests for comment by MT Newswires.
