European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Decline Friday

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were lower on Friday morning, shedding 0.2% to 1,899.89 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by steel producer ArcelorMittal (MT) and bank BBVA (BBVA), which rose 5.2% and 1.4% respectively.

They were followed by technology company Opera (OPRA), which added 0.9%.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company Inventiva (IVA) and technology company Nokia (NOK), which fell 5.6% and 4.2% respectively.

They were followed by pharmaceutical company Argenx (ARGX), which shed 3.6%.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by telecom giant Vodafone (VOD) and advertising agency WPP (WPP), which rose 13% and 4.9% respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics (SLN) and biotech company Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which lost 7% and 6.8% respectively.
