Beazer Homes USA (BZH) is facing pressure from activist investor Donerail Group to engage with potential buyers after rival homebuilder Dream Finders Homes boosted its takeover offer this week, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
Donerail said in a letter published Thursday that Dream Finders' latest $32-a-share cash bid is sufficiently attractive for Beazer's board to grant the company and other credible buyers full access to conduct due diligence, according to the report.
The new offer is roughly 24% higher than a previous $25.75-a-share proposal Beazer had rejected, valuing the company at about $875 million, the report said, adding that Beazer has also received interest from other potential suitors.
