Market Chatter: Sonos Cuts Top Design, Product Executives in Layoffs

MT Newswires Live07-09

Sonos (SONO) has laid off several senior design and product executives, as part of broader job cuts aimed at reducing management layers, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The report said the layoffs also affected the company's user research team and other product development roles, prompting concerns among some employees about Sonos' ability to develop new products beyond its current hardware roadmap.

A Sonos spokesperson told Bloomberg the company retains strong senior talent across affected teams and said user research work continues. Bloomberg said the company previously stated the layoffs were unrelated to artificial intelligence.

Sonos did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
