A Ryanair (RYAAY) passenger was injured after a window dislodged inflight soon after takeoff from Thessaloniki in Greece, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing, multiple media outlets reported Friday.
A fragment of debris reportedly coming from an engine caused a window to shatter after the plane had taken off, bound for Memmingen in Germany, the reports said.
Ryanir confirmed the incident in a statement sent to MT Newswires, saying the aircraft returned to Thessaloniki and landed normally and one passenger received medical assistance on the ground.
