Public Storage Unit Prices $900 Million Senior Notes Offering

$Public Storage(PSA-N)$ (PSA) said late Thursday its Public Storage Operating subsidiary priced a $900 million public offering of fixed-rate senior notes.

The unit plans to issue the notes in two tranches with an interest rate of 4.855%. The first tranche of $400 million notes due Feb. 1, 2032 will have an annual interest rate of 4.700%, while the second tranche of $500 million notes due Aug. 15, 2036, will have an annual interest rate of 5.150%.

The offering is expected to close on July 20.

The subsidiary expects to use the proceeds from the offering to partially fund Public Storage's proposed acquisition of National Storage Affiliates Trust (NSA) and for general corporate purposes.
