Airbus June Plane Deliveries Make Annual Goal Look More Achievable

Dow Jones07-09

1416 GMT - Airbus delivered a good number of commercial aircraft to clients last month, and that makes its annual delivery target look more attainable, Citi's Charles J Armitage writes in a note to clients. The European plane maker dispatched 89 aircraft in June alone, and 351 since the year began, representing 40.3% of Airbus's annual goal of about 870 deliveries. "Overall, we believe June deliveries will overcome some of the market skepticism about 870 FY deliveries," he says. Airbus shares trade 0.7% lower at 196.12 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
