Meta Platforms (META) is considering renting out some of its artificial intelligence computing capacity as demand for AI infrastructure surges, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg.
Zuckerberg told Bloomberg the offers to use Meta's computing infrastructure are 'so high' that it could make sense in some cases to rent capacity to third parties rather than dedicate it to internal projects.
He added that the company is also weighing a broader cloud business and the opportunity is 'certainly there any time we want to build it'.
Meta Platforms did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
