United Natural Foods is making a series of executive changes, including the hiring of a new chief financial officer.
United Natural on Thursday said Matteo Tarditi, currently president and finance chief, will become president and chief operating officer on Aug. 3.
Alfredo Luchini, who most recently served as vice president and finance chief of Carrier Global's Carrier Climate Solutions Americas segment, will join United Natural as chief financial officer on Aug. 10, the Providence, R.I., natural and organic food company said.
Luchini, 42 years old, will receive an annual base salary of $800,000, a $150,000 cash sign-on bonus and an annual cash bonus with a value of 100% of his base pay, the company said.
United Natural said Tarditi will have responsibility for its product sales organizations, enterprise customer relationships, supply-chain operations, technology and lean implementation.
Louis Martin, currently president of conventional grocery products and chief commercial officer, will continue as chief commercial officer, United Natural said, while Mark Bushway, president of natural, organic, specialty and fresh products and chief supply-chain officer, is leaving the company.
United Natural said Bushway will remain as chief supply-chain officer unit Jan. 1, 2027, adding that he will receive severance benefits because his separation results in a qualifying termination.
