AstraZeneca (UK: AZN): Shares in the U.K. pharmaceutical company tumbled after it said a heart-disease treatment failed to meet its main target in a late-stage trial.

Levi Strauss $(LEVI)$: Despite beating earnings expectations in its second-quarter report yesterday evening, the jeans maker failed to impress some on Wall Street, and shares fell in premarket trading.

Porsche (Germany:P911): Shares in the luxury carmaker slipped after it reported a big drop in first-half deliveries, especially in China and the U.S., where tax incentives for electric and hybrid cars expired.

PepsiCo $(PEP)$, Aritzia $(ATZAF)$: The food-and-beverage company is due to report earnings this morning; Aritzia is also scheduled to post results later today.

SK Hynix (KR:000660): The South Korean chip maker is expected today to set the price for its U.S. listing tomorrow, in what could be one of the world's largest stock sales.

Volkswagen (Germany: VOW3): Volkswagen's leadership will meet today to discuss an overhaul that could result in thousands of job cuts and factory closures.
