New Era Energy & Digital (NUAI) said Thursday the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas approved its settlement with the US Trustee for the bankruptcy estates of Acacia Resources and Acacia Operating Co., resolving all trustee-controlled claims in New Mexico's lawsuit against the company.
Under the agreement, New Era will pay $1 million, including $350,000 to New Mexico and $650,000 to the trustee, within five business days of the order.
The settlement does not constitute an admission of liability. New Mexico continues to maintain three claims against an individual defendant, the company said.
