Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA) said Thursday it has signed a license and commercialization agreement with Samsung Bioepis for Opuviz, an aflibercept biosimilar referencing Eylea, in Canada.
Samsung Bioepis will handle product registration and manufacturing, while Teva Canada will lead commercialization.
Opuviz was approved by Health Canada in October 2025 for several eye conditions, including wet age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema.
Teva said the deal strengthens its biosimilars portfolio in Canada and expands its ophthalmology presence.
