BHP (BHP) reported record iron ore production and copper output of about 2 million metric tons for the second consecutive year in fiscal 2026, supported by strong performance at its Escondida operation, the company said Thursday.

The miner said fiscal 2026 unit costs are expected to be at the bottom end of guidance for all copper assets, within guidance for Western Australia Iron Ore, and toward the upper end of the guidance range for BMA.

BHP maintained strong fiscal 2027 production guidance, supported by its copper and steelmaking commodities portfolio, while advancing growth projects at Vicuna, Cerro Colorado and Copper South Australia.

The company said Jansen remains on track to begin potash production next year while it continues to advance its Faraday Copper investment and battery-electric haul truck trials in Western Australia.
