PepsiCo's (PEP) Suntory partnership in Vietnam opened a $300 million beverage manufacturing facility in Vietnam, multiple outlets reported Monday, citing Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam CEO Ashish Joshi and Jahanzeb Khan, CEO of Suntory Beverage & Food Asia.

The 20-hectare site in Tay Ninh province is the company's most technologically advanced and biggest factory in Asia, with a yearly capacity of 1.24 billion liters, the publications reported.

The location is expected to employ roughly 3,000 workers and features fully automated production systems capable of using entirely recycled packaging, the news outlets reported.

Suntory PepsiCo did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
