1041 GMT - Spirits groups Diageo and Pernod Ricard are still contending with weak sales in the U.S., analysts at Bernstein warn in a note. The spirits industry as a whole likely booked a 5% drop in sales values, largely because of lower volumes, Bernstein says, citing data from research firm Nielsen. U.K.-based Diageo and France's Pernod Ricard look to be hit especially hard, the brokerage says, pointing to falling sales for many of the two distillers' biggest booze brands.
