Golden Horse Minerals (ASX:GHM) said initial nine-hole reverse circulation exploration drilling at the Greenmount prospect within its Southern Cross gold project in Western Australia returned with high-grade intercepts, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of eight meters at 16.3 grams per tonne grade of gold from 209 meters, as well as eight meters at 8.6 g/t grade of gold from 218 meters.
Grab sampling of historic stockpiles confirmed high-grade mineralization at the Withers prospect. The reverse circulation rig completed a program at the Bells and Lynette prospects, targeting shallow mineralization.
Its shares rose 2% in recent trading on Thursday.
