YPF Energía Eléctrica S.A. filed for a global offering of its Class B common shares.
A selling shareholder is offering the stock in two markets. American depositary shares in an international offering and Class B shares in an Argentine offering. The filing didn't say how many shares would be sold or at what price. Each ADS will represent 10 Class B shares, and the selling shareholder granted underwriters a 30-day option to buy more shares. The company said it intends to apply to list the ADSs on the NYSE and the Class B shares on BYMA under "YLUZ."
YPF Energía Eléctrica will not receive any proceeds from the sale.
For the quarter ended March 31, the company reported net profit of about $66.5 million on revenue of about $217.2 million, up from net profit of about $43.4 million on revenue of about $149 million a year earlier.
