Novartis (NVS) said Health Canada approved Vanrafia to reduce proteinuria in adults with primary immunoglobulin A nephropathy who are at risk of rapid disease progression.
The approval was based on an interim analysis of a Phase 3 trial, which showed a statistically significant reduction in 24-hour urine protein-to-creatinine ratio at week 36 with Vanrafia compared with placebo, Novartis said Monday in a statement.
