0054 GMT - UBS's cautious stance on car dealership Eagers Automotive may not be evident in its 1H result, but over the six months through December, UBS says. "Our view is that the macro backdrop creates a challenging operating environment--with the potential negative wealth effect at risk of impacting new sales," says UBS, which has a neutral call on Eagers. Consumers rushed to buy electric vehicles due to disruption caused by the Middle East conflict. That has boosted Eagers's order bank. "The question is whether part of this was a pull forward of future demand and also what that means for the rest of the (core) business," UBS says. "If the top of the order bank funnel does not get replenished, in our view it will be a challenge to get to consensus numbers." (david.winning@wsj.com; @dwinningWSJ)
