Singapore Airlines' Passenger Traffic Rises 4.1% in June

Singapore Airlines' (SGX:C6L) group passenger traffic was up 4.1% year on year in June, according to a Wednesday filing on the Singapore Exchange.

Passenger capacity increased 6.0%, while group passenger load factor came in at 87.1%.

Combined passenger carriage increased 6.3% year on year to 3.7 million, the filing said.

Cargo load increased 5.1% year over year, while the cargo load factor rose to 60.6%.

During the month, Singapore Airlines launched services to Hangzhou in mainland China, while its low-cost arm Scoot launched services to Pontianak in Indonesia.

As of June 30, the flag carrier's passenger network covered 137 destinations across 36 countries. Meanwhile, cargo network spanned 139 destinations across 36 countries and territories.
