Oaktree Capital Management-backed Pure Data Centres is building a data center campus in Finland that is expected to be used by customers including Microsoft (MSFT), Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Pure Data Centres is investing 1.5 billion euros ($1.7 billion) in the first phase of the project, which will deliver 110 megawatts of capacity, Bloomberg reported.
The site could eventually expand to more than 550 megawatts, representing up to 7.5 billion euros in total investment, according to the report.
Pure DC declined to identify customers, citing the facility is fully leased.
Microsoft did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
