Hasbro signed a licensing partnership with Nintendo to create toys based on the Legend of Zelda video game franchise.
The multi-year collaboration is scheduled to start in 2027, Hasbro said Thursday. The toy company plans to reveal three six-inch scale figures at the San Diego Comic Con later this month.
Legend of Zelda was first released in the U.S. in 1987. It includes a mix of exploration and discovery with action and adventure for video game players, in which the characters Zelda and Link fight against Ganondorf.
"For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery," said Billy Lagor, Hasbro's president of toys and board games.
