Market Chatter: Yum! Brands' KFC Japan May Cut Menu on Cyber-Attack Logistics Snag

MT Newswires Live07-15 18:20

Yum! Brands' (YUM) Kentucky Fried Chicken Japan said it may temporarily reduce menu selections after a cyber-attack on a logistics vendor disrupted food deliveries to outlets across the country, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday, citing a spokesperson for KFC.

The fast-food company said reduced menus and hours in KFC Japan are possible after cyber-attacks on Nichirei undermined the vendor's distribution unit, in particular hampering delivery of frozen foods, according to the report.

KFC Japan's mobile orders and delivery services have been temporarily suspended, the report added.

Yum! Brands did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
