Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) faces renewed pressure after employees in its Device Experience division called for a planned protest on Thursday over a 100-fold compensation gap with the chipmaking Device Solutions division, the South China Morning Post reported Wednesday.

The Samsung Electronics Company Union, comprising employees mostly from the appliance-making division, plans a protest under the slogan "same company, same rights" following reports of DS employees receiving performance incentives of up to 600 million won.

Samsung Electronics did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
