China Eastern Airlines' Passenger Capacity Falls in June

China Eastern Airlines (SHA:600115, HKG:0670) passenger capacity, measured by available seat kilometers, fell 3.89% year over year in June, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong exchange.

Revenue passenger kilometers, an indicator of passenger traffic, decreased 3.4% from a year earlier during the month.

Cargo capacity, measured by available freight tonne-kilometers, declined by 5.6% from a year earlier.

Cargo traffic, measured by revenue freight tonne-kilometers, increased by 4.7% from a year earlier.

The airline added nine aircraft during the month and retired three, bringing its fleet size to 833 aircraft at the end of June.
