Stocks to Watch: Paypal, Morgan Stanley, Richemont, ASML

PayPal Holdings (PYPL): Shares of the digital-payments company surged more than 15% in premarket trading following a Reuters report that payments processor Stripe and private-equity firm Advent offered to buy it for more than $53 billion.

Compagnie Financiere Richemont (CH:CFR): Shares of the Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels owner climbed today after the luxury jeweler posted booming sales. Rival stocks LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (FR:MC) and Hermes International (FR:RMS) also rose on the news.

Morgan Stanley $(MS)$, BlackRock $(BLK)$: The financial giants are set to report second-quarter earnings this morning. Johnson and Johnson $(JNJ)$, United Airlines Holdings $(UAL)$ are also scheduled to report today.

ASML Holding (NL:ASML, ASML): Shares of the Dutch chip-equipment manufacturer climbed after it lifted its sales forecast in a sign of strong AI demand.

Lucid Group $(LCID)$: Shares in the Saudi-backed EV maker slid further in premarket trading, after a report that the company might seek bankruptcy triggered a 15% drop yesterday.
