The Defense Department has blocked the public release of a congressionally mandated annual report on the Lockheed Martin (LMT)-made F-35 fighter jet program for the first time in more than 20 years, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing a Government Accountability Office official.
The report said the Defense Department determined its annual assessment of the F-35 program contained "Controlled Unclassified Information," which means the report can not be released publicly.
The Defense Department and Lockheed Martin did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
