0126 GMT - Malaysia's equity market may see limited immediate impact from Johor's state election, as the result reinforces policy continuity, CIMB Securities analysts Ivy Ng Lee Fang and Kenny Mak Hoy Ken say in a note. Barisan Nasional's stronger-than-expected victory could support the rollout of major infrastructure and investment projects, including the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone blueprint and the Johor Autonomous Rapid Transit system, they say. These projects should drive medium-term demand for logistics, industrial and landed residential developments in Johor. They remain cautious on the high-rise residential segment due to ample incoming supply. Eco World Development, Mah Sing, Sunway, SP Setia and Malayan Cement could benefit from Johor's ongoing investment and infrastructure pipeline, CIMB adds. (yingxian.wong@wsj.com)
