Domino's Has More Work to Do to Change the Narrative Around Its Stock

Dow Jones07-20 21:26

09:26 ET-Domino's Pizza posts better-than-anticipated same-store sales in 2Q, overshadowing generally tougher sentiment as of late to send shares 7.1% higher premarket, Morgan Stanley analysts say in a research note. It's not out of the woods just yet, though. Longer-term, the analysts say there don't seem to be any catalysts to seriously change the narrative around the stock. A low-single-digit percent increase in same-store sales is possible this year, but far from a given, they say. "The setup could improve at some point, and new management will have a chance to elucidate any shift in strategy it would like to make, but we aren't there yet," the analysts write.
