Market Chatter: Apple Sends Legal Warnings to OpenAI Workers Over Trade Secret Claims

Apple (AAPL) has sent personal legal warnings to dozens of former employees now working at Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI to find proof that the artificial intelligence company stole its trade secrets, the Financial Times reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Around 40 individuals who used to work at Apple received letters telling them to save documents and meet with Apple's lawyers, the news outlet quoted the people as saying.

The notes were sent after Apple filed a lawsuit claiming OpenAI and two employees stole secret hardware plans, the report said.

Apple and OpenAI did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
