Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google is months behind schedule on delivering its most powerful AI model -- Gemini 3.5 Pro -- due to its efforts to improve its capabilities, especially in coding, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Many Google engineers, AI researchers and managers are concerned the company risks losing an advantage in the market because of the delay, the report said, citing 10 current and former employees.

Google didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
