BETA Technologies (BETA) on Monday unveiled the MV250, an autonomous hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for military logistics at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK.

The aircraft has a reposition range of 1,300 nautical miles and can carry a 2,000-pound payload over a tactical range of 250 nautical miles, enabling it to transport equipment, munitions, medical supplies and other cargo at a low cost, the company said.

The aircraft's hybrid-electric turbogenerator was developed with GE Aerospace (GE) under a joint technology development agreement, BETA Technologies said.
