Wipro's Growth Likely Faces Headwinds

Dow Jones07-17

0714 GMT - Wipro's growth likely faces headwinds, with no near-term respite or acceleration visible, say HDFC Securities analysts in a research report. Its demand environment remains soft with discretionary spending slow, decision cycles lengthened, deal closures weaker, and multiple large-sized deals postponed to 2Q FY 2027. The Indian technology services and consulting company's growth engine remains well below peers' average, the analysts say. The brokerage cuts its FY 2027-2029 earnings estimates for Wipro by 0.5%-8.3%. It lowers the stock's target price to 195.00 rupees from 220.00 rupees, with an unchanged add rating. Shares are 1.2% lower at 175.70 rupees. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
