Market Chatter: Meta Taps Senior AWS Executive in Efforts to Bolster AI Infrastructure

Meta Platforms (META) has hired Dave Brown, a senior executive at Amazon (AMZN) Web Services, to help with its data center expansion and computing infrastructure ambitions, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Brown spent nearly 19 years at Amazon. He will report to Meta's Head of Infrastructure Santosh Janardhan and help oversee the company's artificial intelligence data center buildout.

Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman told employees Brown will leave the company at the end of July, according to the report.
