Dow Jones07-17

0837 GMT - China's Shenzhen Composite Index and ChiNext Price Index logged their worst declines since April last year amid a broad tech selloff. Asian stocks mirrored declines in the U.S., likely spurred by AI spending concerns. The Shenzhen Composite closed 5.2% lower at 2434.08, with companies including Hebei Sailhero Environmental Protection High-Tech and Dark Horse Technology Group falling 20%. The tech-heavy ChiNext also slumped, ended 7.15% lower at 3428.63, with Shannon Semiconductor Technology and Shenzhen Longsys Electronics leading losses. The Shanghai Composite also fell but to a milder extent, finishing 3.05% lower at 3764.15, its largest percentage decline since March this year. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
