CSPC Innovation Pharmaceutical Receives China Approval for SYS6043 Clinical Trial; Shares Slide 4%

CSPC Innovation Pharmaceutical (SHE:300765) subsidiary Jushi Biopharmaceutical received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration for the phase 3 trial of its self-developed SYS6043 drug, according to a Thursday after-hours filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

SYS6043 is an antibody-drug conjugate that targets B7-H3 and releases a small molecule toxin to kill tumor cells, the company said in its filing.

The trial will evaluate the response in patients with platinum-resistant advanced ovarian cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, and fallopian tube cancer.

Shares in the drug company fell 4% during afternoon trading on Friday.
