Hong Kong's Export Volume Rises 25.8% in May

Hong Kong's total export volume rose 25.8% year over year in May, according to data released by the Census and Statistics Department on Thursday.

Import volume increased 27.4% from a year earlier.

Export prices rose 11.8% from a year earlier, while import prices increased 11.1%.

Among major export destinations, export volume to Taiwan rose, followed by Vietnam, the U.S., and mainland China, while shipments to India fell.

Import volume increased from all major suppliers, led by South Korea, followed by Vietnam, mainland China, Singapore, and Taiwan.
