Chugai Pharmaceutical (TYO:4519) posted a 19% year-over-year increase in net income in the first half to 231.7 billion yen from 194.4 billion yen a year earlier.
Earnings per share were 140.82 yen compared with 118.12 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Friday.
Revenue rose 15% to 663.3 billion yen in the six months ended June 30 from 578.5 billion yen.
The company declared an interim dividend of 66 yen per share, payable from Aug. 28.
For the year ending Dec. 31, Chugai expects core net income of 485 billion yen, core EPS of 295.00 yen, and revenue of 1.345 trillion yen.
