0721 GMT - BNP Paribas's quarterly update shows the French lender delivering where it matters, Jefferies analysts Joseph Dickerson and Theo Massing write in a note to clients. The bank beat estimates for revenue and earnings, thanks in part to "notable strength in retail banking and personal finance," Dickerson and Massing say. BNP Paribas meanwhile backed its target to boost profitability over the coming years. "Momentum is building," the analysts say. Shares open 1.7% lower at 104.98 euros.
