Healthcare stocks were higher late Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index rising 0.6% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) adding 0.3%.
The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) climbed 1.3%.
In corporate news, MapLight Therapeutics (MPLT) is seen having meaningful upside in the upcoming ML-007 Ph2 schizophrenia trial readout, with the study completed on June 4th and data expected in mid-August, UBS said in a note. MapLight shares rose 3%.
