Philips Wins FDA Clearance for Reusable Pulse Oximetry Clip Sensor

Philips (PHG) said Tuesday it has received US Food and Drug Administration clearance for its reusable SpO2 clip sensor.

The sensor is designed to improve signal quality and measurement consistency for oxygen saturation monitoring across a broad range of patients and clinical settings, the company said.

Philips said the sensor will be available in select markets later this year.

Philips shares were down 1.3% in early Tuesday trading.
