Amazon.com said its Amazon Business unit reached $60 billion in annualized gross sales in the second quarter, as the company expands its business-focused shopping platform to more than 11 million organizations globally.
Amazon Business, which launched in the U.S. in 2015, serves organizations including hospitals, schools, manufacturers and hotels, and now operates across 11 countries. Over 1.8 million organizations have joined the platform in the first half of 2026, the company said.
The unit offers business customers access to hundreds of millions of products, AI-powered purchasing tools, business-specific pricing and delivery services tailored for organizations.
Amazon said selection on Amazon Business has grown nearly 30% globally this year, with expansion in categories including repair tools, office furniture and fresh groceries.
"Organizations of all sizes trust Amazon Business for vast selection, everyday value and fast, reliable delivery," Shelley Salomon, worldwide vice president of Amazon Business, said in a statement. "As organizations look to do more with less, we're inventing new ways to help them save time and money."
Amazon said business-specific discounts have saved organizations more than $1 billion worldwide last year, while Prime Business members saved more than $880 million in shipping fees.
The company has also rolled out AI-powered tools, including Amazon Business Assistant, which helps customers with account support and purchasing recommendations; Savings Insights, which identifies potential cost reductions; and Spend Anomaly Monitoring, which flags unusual purchases.
Amazon Business made more than half a billion deliveries worldwide last year, the company said. In the U.S., Amazon has begun deploying dedicated delivery trucks designed for business customers, offering features such as scheduled delivery windows, palletized shipments and consolidated drop-offs.
Amazon said its Prime Business membership program has also expanded, adding benefits including access to Amazon Quick, an AI assistant for work tasks, as well as partnerships with services such as cybersecurity provider CrowdStrike, payroll platform Gusto and accounting software QuickBooks.
Amazon Business customers include companies such as Carnival, which uses the platform to streamline its procurement processes, according to the cruise line.
