Yang Ming Marine Signs MoU with PSA International to Promote Supply Chain Decarbonization; Shares Up 4%

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (TPE:2609) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with PSA International to jointly work on the adoption of low-carbon solutions across the maritime value chain, according to a company statement on Monday.

The company's shares were up nearly 4% in Tuesday's trade on the Taiwan stock exchange.

The company aims to combine its maritime fuel initiatives with PSA's electrified terminal capabilities to offer global clients a flexible and transparent strategy to reduce their Scope 3 transportation emissions.

The collaboration also includes the development of a digital Book-and-Claim framework and a maritime-land carbon inset solution to help cargo owners reduce transport-related emissions.
